Testimonials

Exhale Woman’s Fellowship is a great supportive group of women who has helped me gain and maintain stability as a single parent. I am a single mother of two boys who experienced financial hardship after separating from my husband. When I separated from my husband I was working part time in search of a full time position. I was stuck with a car payment that I couldn’t afford and didn’t know what to do. This was a very dark time in my life and the women of Exhale helped me to see my way out of a very dark time in my life.

Exhale gave me hope for the future. Their words and actions is the reason I was able to get out of a bad situation. Linda was very supportive and told me about her struggles and how she too came out of a bad situation. Her words of encouragement gave me strength when I was weak. Another lady also helped me with my resume, interviewing skills, and how to dress professionally. Myra met with me several times and encouraged me when I felt overwhelmed and ready to give up.

I don’t know where I would be without the help and support from the women of Exhale. They helped me make two of my car payments which I greatly appreciated. I didn’t want to lose my car while looking for full time employment.

Finally, I did find a full time position and have been there for about 5 months and then found a great opportunity with the state. I resigned from one job and went straight to the next. My current career is one with great hours, benefits, and excellent opportunity for advancement. I am very appreciative of the help Exhale has given me, and I look forward to helping others.

Respectfully,

To whom it may concern,
Hello, I am a 64-year-old woman who has been married since July 11, 1998. I met my husband in church in Oct 1996 and as I said, we were married on July 11th, 1998 and we purchased our home in Pennsauken, NJ in Oct. 1998. Now fast forwarding to the end of 2017 my husband lost one of his children from a previous marriage which bought another one of his estranged children of more than 21 years into our lives. This was the beginning of the end of our marriage. Dec. of 2017 my husband went on Facebook to look up an old girlfriend. From here on out things became so bad between us that by July of 2020 I became suicidal and went into the hospital from July 2nd 2020 to July 10th 2020. While in the hospital one of my siblings told me that I could stay at her home in Philadelphia until I got my divorce and settlement or until her home had sold, which ever came first.

While I was staying at my sister's I started to look for help trying to find a divorce lawyer that would work pro bono or that would try to get their fee either from my husband or at least wait until I made settlement on my divorce and then collect their fee from my settlement. I did this only because I did not have thousands of dollars to shovel out on a retainer's fee, nor did I have the money up front to pay for an attorney. I had already taken care of applying for subsidized housing for seniors 62 and above where the rent is based on a person's income, so I felt as though my housing had been taken care of even though I was put on a waiting list of 2 years or more. So, I started my journey and through my endeavors to find help that is how I came across Exhale for women.

One of my many days of making my many phone calls it was coming near the end of the day when I called Exhale. I got this wonderful woman on the other end of the line and her name is Carol Clark and oh my can I tell you this is one true Christain woman, she is truly God's child. I began telling Miss Carol ( that is what I call her ) about my story and she listened and listened some more. I have to tell you I still cannot believe the love and help this woman has given me and this started back in July 2020 and it is now Oct. 2020. This woman jumped right into action trying to get me help, not just with finding me a lawyer, and helping with food as well, but she hooked me up with a prayer line that I get on every Friday mornings. The prayer line is so uplifting all these angels praying over you and for you and yours. I love it !

This woman Miss Carol has connected me with Miss Pam who has a conference line every Wednesday evening for women such as myself who are able to tell their stories and are able to lift each other up through their times of trouble. But miss Pam is much more than that she is willing to help you in your endeavors to find work etc.

Then last, but especially NOT least is miss Diane. Miss Carol matched me up with Miss Diane, she is just another one of Exhales angels who seems to be more than willing to help where they can. Miss Diane and I speak on the phone at least once a week about anything and everything and then at the end of the conversation she prays for me and mine.

But these ladies are there during the week as well if need be through text and calls. I told miss Carol one day just how awesome this place called Exhale is and like I said, not just because of the lawyer and food, but because they really truly do care what happens to all these so many women that are in need of their help. Exhale is Christian based and I believe that this is why they are the way they are and are so successful in helping people. Because they know that it is through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior that is where their, ( our ) help lay. All I know is that if this place called Exhale were to close, I really don't know where all these poor women would go. I say that only because no matter how many phone calls I had made that this Exhale seemed to be the only one that really cared about me and truly has helped me and STILL is and I believe thru God's will always Exhale will always be there to help in any way they can.

Oh, I almost forgot about the two sweet ladies that I met in the office, miss Dawn and miss Camille. They too were warm, welcoming, respectful and professional. Thank you Exhale and you keep up the good work !

From my heart I love you all.

My name is T and I reached out to Women Exhale scared, unsure, broken, homeless , distrustful, and abused with absolutely nothing. Literally starting over just simply trusting God. HE guided directly to Women Exhale and the wonderful women in it. I was met with love, open arms support, sincerity, reassurance, and encouragement. I was not scolded, blamed or judged for my current situation. I knew immediately that I was going to be okay and I could finally EXHALE 😮‍💨.....I just want to personally thank Ms. Carol, Ms. Dawn, Ms. Pam, Ms. Janice, Ms. Gloria, Ms. Odessa, and Ms. Taquana for praying for me, cheering for me, providing me with information, comforting me and just overall helping me on my journey to freedom and a brand new life. THANK YOU and GOD BLESS YOU.
